Are you suitable for laser eye surgery?

Published on 12th October 2016

You may be considering laser eye surgery but wondering how you would know if you are actually suitable.

Are you suitable for laser eye surgery?

Well there are a couple of ways starting with our quick ‘laser eye suitability’ survey.
This basically asks you to input your current eye prescription to determine whether you are in the treatable range.

To take this initial survey simply click here.

This page also outlines certain medical conditions which may mean you would be unsuitable, but we would highly recommend a consultation with one of our surgeons to find out whether you are suitable.

The consultation involves a thorough 30 minute assessment with one of our experienced optometrists who will check your prescription and take some very detailed measurements of the anatomy of your eyes.

You will then have a 30 minute appointment with your ophthalmologist - the doctor who will ultimately treat you. He will examine your eyes and review the information gathered by the optometrist to determine if you are suitable and which method of treatment would be best for you.

You can find out more about this process here including a couple of videos which explain the process.

So what are you waiting for? Take the survey or book your consultation today!

All eye surgical procedures carry a level of risk including not obtaining the desired outcome, through to varying levels of visual loss. Your eye surgeon will discuss the risks and benefits, including ones specific to your circumstances, at the time of your pre-operative consultation.
