Introducing our new laser, the Amaris 500E

We’re incredibly excited to announce that, as of April, we are now taking patient bookings on our state-of-the-art new laser, the Schwind Amaris 500E.

Our new laser has been installed due to our commitment to providing patients with the most effective treatment possible, maximising precision and safety. The innovative Schwind Amaris opens up a range of new techniques and treatment to our patients, from initial consultation and planning, to treatment.

As always when considering laser eye surgery with Visualase, when you book in for a consultation, you’ll be met by the surgeon who will carry out your treatment. Thanks to the integrated SCHWIND CAM software within our new laser, this consultation will provide tailored treatment planning with a uniquely wide range of applications in refractive surgery.

Following your consultation, treatment using the Schwind Amaris provides safe and effective surgery, thanks to the following features:

• Your treatment time is very short, as a result of the Amaris 500E’s, 500Hz pulse rate.  
  
• During treatment, your eye is tracked 1050 times every second, with a 5D eye-tracker compensating for eye movements in five dimensions, ensuring optimal safety.
• 1,050 Hz eye tracking and an active 5D eye tracking system automatically controls pupil size and pupil centroid shift.
  
• Our laser treatments can be carried out without touching the eye. Vision is precisely corrected through the top layers of the cornea with SCHWIND AMARIS technology, gently, touch-free, in a single step. Resulting in a faster healing process.
• This is a result of SmartSurfACE technology, which merges the benefits of touch-free TransPRK surface treatment with innovative SmartPulse Technology.
