What Our Clients Say

Millions of people worldwide have now had laser eye surgery done.

Three Ways to Improve Vision

For many years the only way people could correct their vision was to wear spectacles. Over the last forty years contact lenses have become increasingly popular as their design and availability has improved. More recently laser eye correction has been a major innovation in sight correction and is rapidly gaining acceptance as a realistic alternative.

Millions of people, worldwide, have now had this laser eye surgery done, most of them because they wanted to see clearly without visual aids. Others felt in some way handicapped by their poor vision and their spectacles or contact lenses were a constant reminder of this.

Spectacle wearers often complain of being able to see the frame, discomfort and that the lenses steam up.

Contact lens wearers have other problems to deal with. There is the daily routine of inserting, removing and cleaning the lenses, check-ups and collections. There are also the health risks from infections, abrasions and over wear.

In addition, both spectacles and contact lenses can break or wear out and need to be replaced, with all the time and expense this involves.

Laser eye treatment similar to Lasek or epiflap were first performed in the UK in 1988 followed by Lasik after years of tests.. Since then the equipment and techniques have improved immensely and now offer an increasingly popular third way to improve eyesight.
