Why is my vision blurred?

Myopia (short-sightedness)
Here the image of a distant object is focussed in front of the
retina. The image on the retina is therefore out of focus and vision
is blurred. This is because the cornea is too steeply curved.
Near objects however, may be focussed onto the retina and seen
clearly.
Many people with myopia or hyperopia also have astigmatism.
