Why is my vision blurred?

Hyperopia (long-sightedness)
Here the image of a distant object is focussed behind the retina.
The image on the retina is therefore out of focus and vision
is blurred. This is because the cornea is too flat. Although
it may be possible to focus the image onto the retina by refocusing
the lens this leaves near vision impaired.
Many people with myopia or hyperopia also have astigmatism.
