Using contact lenses to cure eye conditions

There was a recent article on Contact Lenses.co.uk on Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) lenses have been developed as an alternative to laser eye surgery - and we thought we'd respond to this.
This one is a bit like the "caveman sleeping with stones on his eyes".... the idea behind it was that, as the stones press on the surface of the eyes, they temporarily "flatten" the cornea which corrects the myopia so that in the morning when they woke, their vision was better for hunting !! This maybe an "urban myth" and who was the first caveman ever to try it & why !! ??
