There was a recent article on Contact Lenses.co.uk on whether people should have many consultations before getting laser eye surgery - and we thought we'd respond to this.
Several consultations are a good idea when looking into having laser eye treatment as it give the patient the opportunity to draw comparisons against various clinics. Here at Visualase, every potential patient is seen and examined by an ophthalmologist (the treating surgeon) as part of their consultation.
This valuable time with your doctor to sit and talk as part of your decision making process is surprisingly rare & not all clinics (especially the "high street chains") do not offer this. We are very confident in the level of patient care we provide at Visualase.
