Laser eye surgery????????


I have bad eye sight, one is 9.5 the other 8.5, whilst this can be corrected using glasses, I was wondering if laser eye surgery would cure or at least lessen the problem?

Our answer would be to this patient:

You don't say whether you are - (minus) 9.50 / 8.50 OR + (plus) 9.50 / 8.50. If there is a minus symbol in front of your numbers, then you are shortsighted (myopic). If there is a plus symbol in front of your numbers, then you are longsighted (hyperopic). The either/or could be crucial to your suitability.

If you are shortsighted then laser eye correction may be possible, though it is quite a high prescription. If you are longsighted, then that prescription is way above and beyond what can be corrected using laser. A thorough assessment and consultation can determine this for you.
