Can having laser eye surgery help me pass my medical for the navy?

We recently saw this discussion on a forum about could laser eye surgery help if they wanted to join the navy
Some people do think about getting laser eye treatment if they wear glasses and want to join the Navy. We always recommend speaking to a navy recruitment officer and get absolute clarification from them on their policy of accepting people who have undergone laser eye correction.
It is possible to still see a LASIK flap (albeit very faintly) many, many months, sometimes years after the procedure has been done.
With LASEK, once the surface of the eye has fully healed, it is almost impossible to detect then any surgery has been carried out. However, do not lie about having had treatment.
